Offense Came To Play

The Eph offense put up 24 points, gained 362 yards and scored on 3 of 4 red zone opportunities against the Continentals. Having lost leading rusher Mario Fischetti for the season, the Ephs still piled up 141 yards on the ground and 221 in the air, many of them after the catch, like Sam Jaffe’s 55 yard touchdown reception from Owen McHugh. Jon Oris accounted for 150 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns, while the offensive line allowed no sacks by Hamilton.

When It Rains, It Doesn’t Pour

Both teams offenses were stymied by very wet conditions throughout the game. That partly explained the low-scoring contest.

Exemplary Eph Effort

On offense and on defense, Williams played with grit and energy for 60 straight minutes. While the stands were nearly empty the second half, the Ephs scratched out a lead and held it for much of the period.
